just finished reading someone else's blog. ( i dint link her, i dunno why. reluctance?)
all along i was thinking:

oh dear.
she doesnt have any idea, does she. or maybe she does, maybe its just pride thats keeping her from admitting.

now im not trying to act like im so superior or wad (who knows, maybe im in the same situation too.) but from her blog, the first impression tt i get is obstinate, stuck-up and full of pride. no, she can never be in the wrong. even if she says she is, its right, coz 'humility is a virtue' and admitting ure wrong is right even if u dont think u did anything wrong at all. thats jumping to conclusions, i think.

personally, i dont think she's irritating at all. like i said. our lives dont intersect, she can be a shizophrenic murderer for all that hell cares, it has got little to do with me. but, as far as i see, she's a self-assertive gal with a sense of pride, and thats neither good or bad, right?

oh. i think that's my heck-care attitude that makes everyone think i have attitude problems.

i dont like the way she presents the class. i mean, its not that bad, even if some pple are convinced it is. i can talk to everyone (thats good right) -- and even if u use that childish method of grouping pple up just because they're closer, u might see that (at least for me), i can get along quite well with huilin and huiqi and joyce and gina and hazel and blabla, just to list a few. no stereotypes, discrimination just because of where we all come from or how we fare, but as friends. and the peiwen-and-ruifan thing? i think its stupid to assume that 2 pple are very close just because u see them together a lot. and u all talk about superficiality. HA. the same with the kevinwinstonkellywinnie thingy.

oh dont get me wrong. i like ruifan. i can connect with her in some levels that any other person might not be able to, and i appreciate that a lot. ruifan is an intellectual girl that asks roughly the same questions as i do, and thats quite hard to come by in a friend u know. we talk for hours at KAP on anything under the sun, from religion, philosophy, geniuses and chemistry, to why mcflurry is bad (or good) and how that guy's hair is screwed or something.

pple should try to understand that jc is just not the same as sec sch, u cant compare them at all. now everyone has had 17 (or more) years of different pasts, and they all add up to the person u see in front of you. its quite wrong to expect someone to just throw away their past, forget about it and just bond more with the present. they would so totally have no character and just merge into everyone else, one big unthinking glob of grey slime. neither is it fully correct to keep harping about how good so-and-so was back then, unlike now blablabla and totally neglect the present (here insert cheesy word puns about how the present is a gift).

the way i see it, pple who tend to mention more about the past just like to be near familiar territories, where change is minimal and its absence, reassuring. on the other hand, the pple who dont really talk or think about the past might just happen to have a more pragmatic way of thinking, and are ready to risk changes, and move on.

neither is wrong, but influencing and affecting someone else into thinking the same way, now thats a bit too much (whether that person likes it or not).

p.s. im referring to a whole lot of incidents all lumped up together, but u can assume all u want.
p.p.s. occasionally i think bad grammar is cute. ha.
